Chastagner is based in the Pays de Loire region and our multidisciplinary staff have the skills needed to design and implement our customers’ projects in a huge range of different areas of business. Due to the fact that we have taken up rather an unusual strategic position, Chastagner can successfully cater to the requirements of companies operating in many different fields – from designing a single product (prototype, demonstrator or singular object) through to small runs (complex tools, assembly and integration services).

OUR HISTORY

Sterigerms® was set up to cater to the needs of organisations which are forced to treat and neutralise infectious medical waste on the actual site where it is produced. There are many public and private organisations that have no choice but to do this because they cannot gain access to conventional medical waste disposal methods.

At Sterigerms®, we have been coming up with treatment and neutralisation solutions to deal with waste from healthcare activities with a risk of potential infection for more than twenty years now. Our equipment is entirely developed and manufactured by the Chastagner Group. Our workshops have the very latest cutting-edge equipment and are based in Le Mans in France.

The geographical locations of both Sterigerms® and the company’s partners are a genuine asset, making it easier for our French and international customers to check out our solutions and installations. The Sterigerms® solution currently operates worldwide.

Sterigerms® was developed by CHASTAGNER Group staff with the aim of protecting the world’s population from infectious diseases. Our solution allows healthcare facilities and other organisations to treat and neutralise potentially infectious clinical waste effectively whilst at the same time limiting the spread of the potential risk of infection.

Sterigerms® is a patented solution. Drawing on the CHASTAGNER Group’s culture of innovation, Sterigerms® broke new ground in the field of treating and neutralising biomedical waste, and the company is looking to maintain this pioneering position by meeting whatever challenges our customers throw at us in the future.

At Sterigerms® we are also committed to looking after the environment and the Sterigerms® solution has been designed so as to preserve the planet’s natural resources. To be more specific, Sterigerms® does not need either water or any chemical products to treat and neutralise infectious medical waste effectively. Better still, the equipment offers low power consumption (1 - 3 Kwh) while in use.
